State Street Wins Top Honours at AsianInvestor Achievement Awards
State Street Corporation, the world's leading provider of financial services to institutional investors, announced today that it has received top accolades in AsianInvestor magazine's 2007 Achievement Awards.
State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the company's investment management arm, earned top recognition in the category of "European Equity: Five-year risk-adjusted performance". State Street was also recognized by the publication as "Best Securities Lending House" for the second consecutive year. The awards were presented on Friday, May 18, at a dinner ceremony held at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong.

SSgA's Europe Alpha Strategy is an actively managed, focused "core" equity strategy. The investment process balances value, growth and sentiment factors to determine stock selection. The strategy seeks to outperform the MSCI Europe Index by a minimum of two percent per annum while controlling tracking error to approximately three to four percent.
State Street has been providing securities lending services since 1974, and today lends securities in more than 35 markets around the world through a global network of trading locations.
