LawTech Europe Congress 2015
INsig2 LawTech Europe Congress Announces E-Discovery Expert Ralph C. Losey and Legal Profession Management Expert Markus Hartung as the Keynote Speakers for its 2015 Event in Brussels.
INsig2 LawTech Europe Congress, an annual event on digital evidence, computer forensics, analytics, and legal efficiencies, is pleased to have Ralph C. Losey and Markus Hartung as the Keynote Speakers for its 2015 event. Ralph’s position as lead eDiscovery attorney in the landmark case "Da Silva Moore” and his passion for artificial intelligence as well as Markus’ revealing 2014 study on the future of the legal industry will enhance delegates experience at INsig2 LTEC2015.
Ralph C. Losey serves as the Keynote Speaker for day 1 of INsig2 LawTech Europe Congress 2015. His Keynote will focus on “The Future of the Law: the impact of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies on the search for truth and justice.”
Ralph notes that “the advent of Big Data Analytics is changing all aspects of modern culture, including the legal profession. There is so much information available today that it is now almost always possible to reconstruct what happened in the recent past by analysis of the digital trails. The enormous volume of information is both an opportunity and a problem. The needles of truth are there, but they can be hard to find in the ever growing clouds of haystacks. Hard, but not impossible, if lawyers can learn to use the new technologies developed for data analytics. Quite a few tech savvy lawyers are already able to mine Big Data to find out what really happened in law suits and investigations and so resolve disputes fairly. A few are working on the next step to analyze data to project the likelihood of future misconduct. That is the future we face, full of new opportunities, but also new dangers, especially on the privacy front.
On day 2 Markus Hartung will be the Keynote Speaker. His Keynote will focus on “Technology and trends in the legal market: disruption, evolution or - just hype? Perspectives from the European market.”
Markus observes that “lawyers don’t look at technology in a consistent way. Either they over valuate it, or they under valuate it. The rapid changes and developments make it even worse. The purpose of our study was to shed light on the role of technology and the importance of alternative service providers. They are playing such an important role today, and their role will be even more important if not essential in the coming years.
"We are very pleased to have Ralph C. Losey and Markus Hartung as our Keynote Speakers for INsig2 LTEC2015," said Frederick Gyebi-Ababio, Director of INsig2 LawTech Europe Congress. "Ralph’s position as a predictive coding pioneer and Markus’ study on the future of law considering the rise of alternative service providers will no doubt inspire the expectant audience."
