Banks of Armenia have overcome the economic downturn with minimal losses
Armenia and Russia have overcome the economic downturn with minimal losses, says the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameriabank and Troika Dialog Group of Companies, Mr. Ruben Vardanian after the grand opening of Ameriabank's head office in Yerevan.
IA REGNUM News reports that according to Mr. Vardanian the economic crisis has come from the USA and Western Europe leaving quite negative impact on the largest banks of the world. Mr. Vardanian has mentioned that the Russian and Armenian regulators have not allowed destabilization of the banking industry. He has pointed out that nowadays the banking system revives.
Ruben Vardanian has confessed that Armenia has overcome the crisis with minimal losses as compared to Russia. There are fewer banks in the republic, consequently, fewer complicated situations to solve.
It should be mentioned that the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan was present at Ameriabank's grand opening of the head office. According to the message delivered to IA REGNUM News by the press service of the Armenian president, he wished success to the management and employees of the bank in implementation of all the plans.
