Mortgage and Land bank of Latvia (Latvijas Hipotēku un zemes banka), is a large state-owned bank in Latvia. The objective of the Mortgage bank is: assist clients to implement their ideas and dreams, raise the welfare of clients and the bank itself by sharing the contribution into development of the national economy of Latvia.
The Mortgage Bank continues to implement the following development programmes commissioned by the government that provide support to specific groups of entrepreneurs and population: SME Lending Programme, Housing Development Lending Programme and various rural development programmes. Bank has 27 branches, one in each district centre and 7 sub-branches situated in various regions of Latvia that provide for the servicing of the customers in the whole country. The Bank improves and modernizes its branches continuously.
