The Mortgage and Land Bank of Latvia (Latvijas Hipotēku un zemes banka) was renamed ALTUM (Latvian Development Finance Institution Altum) in January 2014. Following the sale of its commercial part, the bank's development and state aid program implementation arm was rebranded to ALTUM to focus solely on state support programs for businesses and other government-delegated tasks.
