(CBK) is the Government's sole agent for control of monetary policy and the supervision of banks, insurance and investment companies. Its primary objective is to issue the Kuwaiti Dinar on behalf of the State of Kuwait, to direct credit policy to assist social and economic progress, to assist the growth of the national income, to control the banking system in the country.
